Small Batch Traders – new cigar distribution in The Netherlands

After many years of working in the handmade cigar business for Habanos and STG, lately in the position of Director of International Sales & Marketing at STG, it was time for Stijn Elbersen to start as an independent distributor for handmade cigars in The Netherlands.

Stijn Elbersen states: “This is a dream coming true; for years I thought about this and now I get the opportunity to work with some of the best producers in the world who have a big passion for tobacco and respect for people. I can only do this thanks to Jochy Blanco and Karim Mustafa from Tabacalera Palma, Nirka Reyes and Jean-Michel Louis from De Los Reyes Cigars, Phil Zanghi from Debonaire House and Philipp Kugler from CigarKings, who were all very cooperative in terms of portfolio and packaging. This will bring us a big advantage in the strictly regulated Dutch market, which is relatively small but still growing.”

The newly established company Small Batch Traders will carry different brand families of the aforementioned factories; La Galera and Palma Real from Tabacalera Palma, Saga and Don Julio from De Los Reyes Cigars, but as well Debonaire and Indian Motorcycle who are produced at De Los Reyes Cigars. Last but not least, Small Batch Traders will carry the Maduro and Sun Grown lines of CigarKings, which are made in Nicaragua.

Small Batch Traders will start its distribution late April.
