Samir Hajiyev CSWC Champion in Georgia

21 cigar athletes, as organizer Evgeniy Zhidkov puts it, gathered at Havana Club in Tbilisi to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the lounge by smoking a cigar for as long as they could. Six participants made it past the one-hour mark in the second Cigar Smoking World Championship qualifier in Georgia ever, and all the competitors in the top three were different from last year. The 2024 Georgian champion, and the new national record holder, is Samir Hajiyev. His time of 1 hour 30 minutes and 15 seconds was 13 minutes better than Tinatin Giovbelidze. Third place went to the fumelier of Havana Club, Dimitri Gakhov, after a fierce battle with the president of the Georgian Whisky Club, Giga Khatiashvili.
