The design of the watch developed by the Swiss clock manufacturer Cuervo y Sobrinos is completely in the style of the Macanudo Inspirado line. Accompanied by Macanudo Cigars and Champagne in the Copenhagen shop lounge, Maria Luisa Giannini, managing director of Cuervo y Sobrinos, introduced the new masterpiece. The dial of the watch shows a collage of the Macanudo logo; warm orange and beige tones dominate the design. The watch was launched on the market as a limited edition in a Macanudo humidor, and is exclusively available in Macanudo shops.

Stijn Elbersen, director of International Sales & Marketing for STG’s International Hand-Made Cigars division said, “The partnership with Cuervo y Sobrinos is new milestone in the rich history of Macanudo, deepening the brand’s global positioning. Cuervo y Sobrinos proved to be an ideal partner for Macanudo, as both brands have a long-standing heritage tied to the quality, consistency and allure of old-world Cuba. We are very pleased with the way in which the watch embodies the spirit of Macanudo. This is a nice example how a strong collaboration can strengthen both brands.”

The Limited Edition Macanudo men’s watch will be available from January 1, 2018 and only be available for purchase at select retail stores outside of the U.S. Suggested retail price will be € 3.250 per watch.

Find out more about the watch manufacturer, whose origins date back to Havana in the year 1882, and about the genesis and development of the project in conjunction with STG/Macanudo in Cigar Journal 1/2018.
