La Aurora Releases La Aurora 120 Anniversary

La Aurora, the Dominican Republic’s Original and Oldest Cigar Factory, is marking a milestone in 2023. La Aurora 120 Anniversary is wrapped in a Dominican Habana 92-seed leaf that sits over an Olor dominicano (Cibao Valley) binder and encompasses a blend of Piloto Cubano (Cibao Valley, Rep. Dom), Olor dominicano (Cibao Valley), and Dominican Corojofiller. Available in dress boxes in four formats: Robusto (5×50), Toro (5 ½ x 54), Gran Toro (6×58) and Churchill (7×47). The cigar is expected to hit retail in late spring.

“As we commemorate our 120th anniversary, we are proud to mark a milestone that will serve as a reference point for many years to come. Our commitment has always been with creating cigars that embody the rich, distinct flavors of the cigar world,” said Guillermo León, president of La Aurora. “The La Aurora 120 blend we have chosen to create is a product of teamwork to a degree we had never accomplished before.“

“The 120th Anniversary also brings a “New Dawn” for La Aurora. We have rebuilt our Tabaquería to represent our Dominican identity in full, as well as grown more of our own, unique La Aurora tobacco than ever before in our history,” shared Guillermo León. “We have made emphasis in learning as a team and revamping our approach toward tobacco education. Every member of our large family has such an understanding of the leaf to make them the greatest among any team of rollers in the world. Armed with their knowledge and skill, our standards of quality have never been higher. Onward to a brighter tomorrow, to even richer traditions, to making history again and again, onward to The New Dawn.”
