Gurkha Extends the Cellar Reserve Line

Gurkha launched a few new products at InterTabac, starting with the Gurkha Cellar Reserve 15 Years Nicaragua.

“It just finished completion and should be shipping out before the holidays,” vice president of international sales, Carlos Llaca-Toraño says. “It showcases Nicaraguan tobacco, which is very popular now, and we haven’t done an extension to the Cellar Reserve line in probably the last ten years. Although, this is probably a new line in itself. It’s not the regular figurado shape that the Cellar Reserve is normally in, but in parejo sizes and it has more of a lighter appeal with a medium body for the international smoker.”

And that’s not the only launch in that line.

“Because we see a resurgence of traditional formats we’ve made a Lancero in a ten count box. We’ve also done extensions to the rest of the lines; the Gurka Cellar Reserve 12 Years, 15 Years Limitada and 21 Years.”

In addition to these launches they’re also bringing the Gurkha Shorto in a five count tin to the international market.
