First CSWC tournament in Qatar was a success

On August 25th, for the first time ever, the CSWC was held in a Middle Eastern country which turned out as a great success.

The event took place at the luxurious Kempinski Marsa Malaz Hotel, located at The Pearl, an exclusive manmade island in the heart of Doha, Qatar. 40 contestants attended this first edition in Doha, always complying with the country regulations due to the current social distance situation.

CSWC Qatar 2021 was organized by The Humidor Qatar Co, the exclusive importer in Qatar of brands such as Joya de Nicaragua, Gurkha, Oliva, Plasencia, C.L.E., Rocky Patel, Adorini, Boveda. Alongside, the local judges of the contest, Jassim Al Jaidah, Mohammed Al Jaidah, and Felipe Rojas Bruna, contributed to making the first version of CSWC Qatar 2021 an exceptional night.

Out of the 20 participants, the winner reached a smoking time of 81:00 minutes. It was Mr. Aram Manukyan, followed by Ivan Jaklenec in second place with 79:04 minutes and Mr. Ara Artim with 76:10 minutes in third place. With this achievement, Mr. Manukyan makes his way to participate in the CSWC Grand Finale in Split Croatia next September.

“Having successfully carried out CSWC in Qatar shows us the potential and level of influence that Qatar has, not only in the region but also in the world and opens up the possibility that next year the CSWC can be compassed in a neighbouring country such as the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia or Bahrain”, comments Felipe Rojas Bruna, official judge of CSWC.
