Last year India was new to the Cigar Smoking World Championship circuit. The qualification round was organized by India Cigar Club and Cigar Kings India and held in Dehli. This year Cigar Conexion hosted the competition 2,000 kilometers to the south, in Bangalore. Maybe the distance affected the list of participants or maybe it was a different factor that made the top three look completely different this time around. In any case, the 2023 Indian champion, Rohit Panduranga, didn’t just win; he also broke the Indian record. 1 hour 15 minutes and 23 seconds was five minutes better than last year’s champion Pranav Aggarwal’s winning time.
Runner-up was Gunjan Kejriwal at 57 minutes and 20 seconds while Tuhin Chaturvedi claimed third place at 56 minutes and 26 seconds.
- Rohit Panduranga 1:15:23
- Gunjan Kejriwal 57:20
- Tuhin Chaturvedi 56:26
