CSWC in Croatia

Last year Ivan Zizic lost the Cigar Smoking World Championship qualification round in Croatia by a mere 29 seconds. Yet he was one of three “home team smokers” in the top ten at the CSWC grand final in Split when his two hour performance, on the dot, earned him an esteemed tenth place.

At this year’s final he will probably be more of a threat to all the big favorites, if he already isn’t one himself. After having outperformed everyone, including himself, with one of the best times of the season at the Croatian qualification round he’s definitely a contender. 2 hours 57 minutes and 12 seconds earned him a 6th place in this year’s top 20, which should make the others nervous.

Second place went to Dino Tomic at 2 hours 6 minutes and 22 seconds and third place went to Sara Rasmussen at 1 hour 37 minutes and 3 seconds.

Remains to be seen if Zizic can rise to the challenge in Split, and how many Croatians there will be in the top ten.

1.     Ivan Zizic 2:57:12
2.     Dino Tomic 2:06:22
3.     Sara Rasmussen 1:37:03
