Casdagli Cigars Announces First Donation Introducing Boniface

Casdagli Cigars, esteemed for its Cypher 3311 cigar line, proudly announces the first donation of $8,000 to the Red Cross, courtesy of its commitment to donate a dollar from every cigar sold. Inspired by the clandestine warfare of WW2, the limited edition Cypher 3311 Line pays tribute to war heroes and the enigmatic world of secret codes. Marking its second year, the Cypher 3311 Line is set to introduce the Boniface cigar, tying its release with Remembrance Day on November 11th.

Launched in July 2022, the unique naming conventions behind the cigars – Enigma, Colossus, Needle, Lorenz, and the newly introduced Boniface – all hearken back to covert operations during the second world war. The line’s title, Cypher 3311, was inspired by the POW number assigned to Jeremy Casdagli’s grandfather. The „Coat of Arms“ used as this line’s primary image replicates one of his Grandfather’s wartime embroideries.

The line’s emblematic “Coat of Arms” image echoes wartime embroidery crafted by Jeremy’s grandfather during his captivity. This personal connection has roots beyond just familial ties. Jeremy Casdagli recalls, “The Imperial War Museum affirmed in 2012 that my Grandfather not only protested against the Nazis with encrypted messages in his artworks but also was a part of MI9, tasked with POW escapes and secret communication to London.”

Restricted to a mere 4,000 units for each of its 4 vitolas annually, by the beginning of 2023, all 8,000 of the launch year cigars had found homes with passionados. The US and international markets each absorbed half of this total. This successful sale led to the generous donation of $8,000 to the Red Cross in January 2023. Casdagli Cigars is infinitely grateful to everybody who has contributed to the cause. A new summation of the worldwide Cypher 3311 turnover will be made in January 2024, on the basis of which Casdagli Cigars will make the next donation for the Red Cross.

Reflecting on the overwhelming reception in 2023, Jeremy Casdagli expressed, “The response to our Cypher 3311 Line has been heartwarming. Sharing this project with global enthusiasts has evoked profound connections and tales.”

Liis Ehrminger, representing the Estonian Red Cross, appreciated the effort, noting, “The moving story which dates back many decades is still powerful today: it brings essential aid to the ones most in need.”

The Cypher 3311 Line, in its second year, is gearing up to launch a new product, the Boniface cigar. The release is aligned with Remembrance Day to honor the armed forces members who have died in the line of duty since the First World War. It is a day of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices made by soldiers.

The Boniface’s name hails from British Intelligence’s code-breaking initiative, Ultra, and a fictional spy network employed to protect the secrecy of their successes against the Germans. Boniface will be restricted to a maximum of 4’000 vitolas per annum. However in 2023 there is a limited release outside of the US market. The Boniface launch in the USA will take place at PCA held at March 22-25, 2024 in Las Vegas.
