Camacho introduces the Camacho Liberty 2005 Throwback.
The Camacho Liberty Series, going on 16 years strong, has become one of the most highly anticipated annual releases for collectors of bold, full-frontal cigars.
Launched ahead of the July 4th holiday to celebrate the birth and history of the United States, the 2018 release ventures back to one of the most heralded and limited blends – Liberty 2005.
The Camacho Liberty 2005 blend makes its return in its original 11/18 Figurado format. The robust and complex smoke is dressed in a thick and oily Honduran Maduro wrapper with the binder and fillers composed of only hand-selected, top priming leaves of the Original Corojo tobacco.
“The building of each Liberty cigar begins over a year before the tobacco makes its way to the rolling table, the cigars are then constructed and left to rest for a minimum of 6 months, scheduled to emerge just in time to celebrate the 4th of July holiday.” states Scott Kolesaire, Director of Marketing at Davidoff of Geneva USA. “This year’s release, a throwback of the Liberty 2005 blend, lets us proudly celebrate America’s independence with a cigar perfectly crafted for such an honor.”
Inspired by the original packaging, the Liberty 2005 Throwback cigars are showcased in 20 alternating red and white coffins patriotically covered with a lid of a framed American flag. Due to the rarity of tobaccos needed to precisely match the original blend, only 30,000 cigars / 1,500 boxes were produced for the US market.
The Camacho Liberty 2005 Throwback will launch in the US on Monday, June 11, 2018 followed by the EU in the fall of 2018.
