Our team of authors has been on the road and busy in the past three months as well. And therefore you get – as usual – a global overview of what is moving the cigar industry. Once again, we have gathered exciting stories, background knowledge, and information on our passion, smoking cigars, from all corners of the world.
What to Expect in the Summer Issue 2021:
COVER: Kristoff Cigars
After a successful career as a banker, Kristoff owner Glen Case started to work in the cigar business. After a short time, he launched his own cigar brand. Today, the company is in transition from a boutique brand to a major player.
DESTINATIONS:
Piedmont
Italy is always worth a trip. If you are looking for something special in architecture and cuisine, you have no choice but to visit Piedmont. Our author Nicola Di Nunzio, who lives there, will guide you through this region of pleasure.

Our author Christoph Habres has featured the top bars for cigar lovers in Trieste for you.
CIGAR KNOWLEDGE:
Sensoric experience: Does pure blind tasting really exist? This question is being approached by our author Reinhard Pohorec.
Tobacco knowledge: T-13 is a hybrid seed developed by the Tobacco Institute of the Dominican Republic. What are the benefits of its cultivation for farmers?
PAIRING:
The six-member tasting roundtable finds out which sweet wines harmonize best with cigars.
CIGAR PERSONALITY:
For the desire to be free, Hamlet Paredes left his family behind in Cuba. He started from zero and today he is the Master Blender of Rocky Patel.
TASTED CIGARS:
With all the newly released cigars, it is often difficult to keep track of them and still be open to new ones. To give you some inspiration for your next visit to the tobacco shop, our tasting panel evaluated 60 cigars in blind tastings. The special highlight is the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary box-pressed Epicure Maduro with 93 points AND awarded Best Buy! Other eight cigars have reached 92 points.
