Almost halfway between Madison and Milwaukee lies the affluent suburb of Delafield.  Here in Delafield, immediately right off Interstate 94, one can find Wisconsin’s version of the cigar bar where everyone knows your name.  That would be Lake Country Cigars.  Matt and Michele Matheny have painstakingly constructed a vibe that is incredibly pleasing to all the patrons who enter, be it on a frigid Wisconsin winter day, or a beautiful celebration of life in the summer, where the patio is alive and well with the aroma of perfectly aged tobacco mixing with the fragrant scent of nature.

Lake Country boasts Wisconsin’s largest walk-in humidor.  There are many different brands available for the customer’s delight.  Whatever you are looking for here in the middle of The Badger State, you are sure to find it in this castle of cedar.  Liquor is not sold here nor wine, but there is a beautifully stocked glass refrigerator of many different beers from Wisconsin and beyond.  All of the beer is on the honor system, grab some, drink some, and then tell the cashier what you had.  Perfectly simple!  Simple and a testament to the quality of people that frequent Lake Country.

There is a Lake Country Cigars VIP lounge in the back.  For the annual fee of $500, members can enjoy a humidified locker as well as a 10% discount on all purchases and 1 free cigar from the folks at LCC at the beginning of each month.  But whether you choose to become a member or not, there are plenty of comfortable places to sit, gather and relax.  There is also an area up front with elongated tables and ample electrical outlets so you can do a working lunch while enjoying a cigar.

In whichever time of the year you find yourself in Wisconsin, a visit to Lake Country Cigars is always in season.  Be it to escape the cold, or accentuate the warm, or to enjoy the beautiful leaves falling from the trees, an afternoon at LCC is time well spent!
