This year’s releases are a line extension to their highly acclaimed Nicaragua series. The initial Nicaragua habano was released two years, and has grown to become the second-best selling cigar in the company’s portfolio, so Francisco Almonte wanted to build on the line’s success.

The first release is called the Nicaragua Broadleaf. It features a dark, oily Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper with a Nicaragua binder and an all-Nicaragua filler blend. The cigar comes in one size only, 6 ¼ x 54 toro and is presented in 20 count boxes. This is the first time that DBL has used a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper in any of its blends. The MSRP is 11.90USD.

The second release is the Nicaragua Ometepe. This cigar is also available in one size only, a 6 x 56 soft box-pressed toro, and is presented in 20 count boxes. This blend features a sun-grown habano wrapper from Ecuador and a Nicaraguan binder and filler blend that includes ligero from the Ometepe region of Nicaragua. This volcanic region of the country is home to very rich soil that produces robust tobacco with deep, rich flavors. The MSRP is also 11.90USD.

DBL Cigars by Francisco Almonte introduced two new cigars at the Premium Cigar Association’s 2026 trade show in New Orleans.

[49,55,2812,44
6457
