<\/p>\nA quick look at the size and front-and-center placement of the Rocky Patel booth at PCA and it\u2019s evident that the brand is firmly positioned among the heavyweight names in the premium cigar industry.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s an added sense of momentum in the air, too, as the day before, Rocky took to the stage at the PCA Best of the Leaf Awards to share news of a hard-won, decisive victory over the FDA.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s an outcome that was years in the making and one that drew a few knowing smiles from those in the know who\u2019ve gathered inside the booth.<\/p>\n
On the product front, the spotlight shines on the Rocky Patel Sapphire, which is currently enjoying its debut at this year\u2019s expo. Box-pressed and wrapped in a dark Mexican San Andr\u00e9s leaf and built around a core of Nicaraguan fillers from Estel\u00ed, Jalapa and Condega, the cigar is bound with a rare dual-binder combination from Nicaragua and Honduras, the latter making the first use of Patel-grown Jamastran Valley Honduran tobacco in a production blend.<\/p>\n

Billed as a richer, more refined follow-up within the brand\u2019s gem-inspired series (see also Gold & Emerald), the Sapphire will make its way to market following PCA 2026 as a retailer exclusive. It\u2019s described as medium-to-full in body with tobaccos older and more mature than its Emerald predecessor.<\/p>\n
According to Rocky, \u201cIt\u2019s got that lingering sweetness of the Cuban cigars of twenty years ago\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sharing the spotlight as a new release for PCA 2026 is the Year of the Horse. \u201cIt\u2019s a box-pressed Churchill that\u2019s medium to full bodied with lingering spice, coffee, caramel, and espresso\u201d states Rocky.<\/p>\n
