Lunaz presents the Lunaz Herm\u00e8s Cigar Humidor, a creation commissioned by a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud client who wished to integrate a piece of special design into their car.<\/p>\n
Working from this brief, Lunaz\u2019s artisans transformed a vintage luggage trunk into a precision-built cigar case designed to sit within the boot of the Silver Cloud.<\/p>\n
Wrapped in Herm\u00e8s leather traditionally reserved for the house\u2019s most storied travel trunks, it is finished with polished brass clasps, hand-stitched corner protectors, and a colour palette matched to the car\u2019s interior and exterior.<\/p>\n
Inside, a chamber constructed from Spanish cedar maintains the ideal microclimate for up to 200 cigars. Each rests in a hand-turned cradle, supported by an integrated hygrometer and humidity control system that ensures preservation. As with every Lunaz creation, the Herm\u00e8s piece is one of a kind, engraved, monogrammed, and tailored to its owner\u2019s specification.<\/p>\n
To further embrace the client\u2019s passion for craftsmanship and detail, the Lunaz team designed and handcrafted a series of accessories to accompany the commission. Among these are a pair of solid American walnut hexagonal ashtrays with the Lunaz logo inlaid into the lids. Concealed magnets within the base of each ashtray allow them to anchor securely to any of the car\u2019s tables, which have themselves been fitted with hidden magnetic points beneath the veneer.<\/p>\n
A portable humidor was also created to house six of the client\u2019s preferred cigars. Handmade from solid American walnut, this is proportioned to fit within the frontglove compartment or to accompany the client beyond the car. Its interior, carved to the dimensions of the specific cigar brand, features hand-finished leather straps that match the car\u2019s upholstery, thereby ensuring the cigars remain secured while maintaining a continuity of material and tone.<\/p>\n
