Situated on the outskirts of the Perth city, Western Australian, Familija Cigars HQ is housed in an old heritage building a space with history and character that brand owners Carissa and Anando Gibalo have carefully transformed.

“Anando and I have carried a vision quietly in the back of our minds the dream of creating a home for Familija Cigars here in Australia,” said Carissa Gibalo. “Not just a retail space, but a place where our customers could truly feel at ease, celebrated, and on top of the world as they select their cigars. Over the weekend, that dream became reality as we opened the doors to Familija Cigars HQ for a soft launch with our nearest and dearest.”

When the husband and wife team first imagined HQ, they knew it had to be more than four walls and shelves of cigars. “We wanted it to capture the essence of what cigars mean to us: connection, tradition, and moments of significance. Cigars have always been more than a product; they are a way to mark life’s milestones, to slow down, and to share time with the people who matter most. That is the spirit of Familija, and we wanted HQ to capture exactly that,” said Anando.

The journey, of course, was not simple, with months of long nights, early mornings, setbacks, and determination to transform an idea into a space they are proud to call their own.

“Every detail from the humidor to how a customer is greeted when arriving was chosen with one goal in mind: to create a memory they will never forget. We wanted to create an environment that feels special, while still being deeply personal and inviting,” said Carissa.

At the HQ soft launch, surrounded by family and friends, it was almost surreal to see the space come alive said Carissa. “After half a year of hard work, to hear the laughter, the conversation, and to watch people experience HQ for the first time reminded us why we started this journey in the first place. Familija Cigars has always been about the people, “Our People,” and this space is for them.”

We are endlessly grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way from our industry friends who shared their wisdom, to the customers who believed in us, and to the people who have cheered us on during this journey. Familija HQ is as much yours as it is ours.

In the months ahead, they look forward to welcoming guests into their new home, hosting events, and continuing to share the cigars that mean so much to them. “Familija HQ is a dream come true, and we cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes us.”

Situated on the outskirts of the Perth city, Western Australian, Familija Cigars HQ is housed in an old heritage building a space with history and character that brand owners Carissa and Anando Gibalo have carefully transformed.

[5463,49,179,44
9898
