In celebration of this milestone, the brand will host a series of curated launch events across the United States and has collaborated on a commemorative timepiece housed in a special 90th Anniversary humidor.<\/p>\n<p>The cigar was developed by award-winning blender Rafael Nodal in partnership with the Plasencia family. The Montecristo 90th Anniversary will be available exclusively at Casa de Montecristo retail locations starting August 30, and will be made available to the wider trade beginning September 15.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Montecristo 90th Anniversary is more than a cigar\u2014it\u2019s a statement of legacy and ambition,\u201d said Gabe Diaz, Brand Manager for Montecristo. \u201cWe wanted to respect our roots while delivering a modern experience that speaks to today\u2019s luxury smoker. Every detail, from the tobacco to the accessories, to the timepiece, was chosen to reflect our history and further elevate our future and brand. I am humbled to have been able to work on something so impactful for Montecristo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cigar is handcrafted using Nicaraguan tobaccos from Plasencia\u2019s tobacco library.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlending the Montecristo 90th Anniversary was both a creative challenge and a personal honor,\u201d said Rafael Nodal, VP of Product Capability at Altadis U.S.A. \u201cWe set out to craft something worthy of Montecristo\u2019s legacy\u2014a cigar that balances complexity with elegance and tradition with innovation. Only 35 numbered units will be produced globally. Each watch is handmade in Paris and features a custom Swiss jewel movement.<\/p>\n<p>Each timepiece will be presented in a Montecristo 90th Anniversary Watch Winder Humidor.
