The CSWC debut was supposed to happen last year, but the event was canceled. This year 40 visitors gathered at the Hemingway Restaurant in Budapest to cheer on the 38 competitors and it turned into a very exciting race, according to P\u00e9ter Farag\u00f3 from organizing Alf\u00f6ld Tabak.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the end there were four contestants competing for the title; Gerg\u0151 Kelemen, Ildik\u00f3 Horv\u00e1thn\u00e9 Lovas, Krist\u00f3f Kalash and P\u00e9ter Adonyi,\u201d he says. \u201cKelemen\u2019s cigar was the first one to go out, followed by Horv\u00e1thn\u00e9 Lovas\u2019 who smoked for 1 hour 30 minuntes and 40 seconds. When Kalash was done, Adonyi was left alone to claim the title.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was a close one though. With 1 hour 36 minutes and 45 seconds, he was just 50 seconds ahead of Kalash, but it was enough to be crowned the first Hungarian slow smoking champion in history.
