{"id":68866,"date":"2024-09-20T12:25:48","date_gmt":"2024-09-20T10:25:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/?p=68866"},"modified":"2024-10-16T19:20:31","modified_gmt":"2024-10-16T17:20:31","slug":"rare-unicorn-spotted-at-dortmund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/de\/rare-unicorn-spotted-at-dortmund\/","title":{"rendered":"Rare Unicorn Spotted at Dortmund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The sight of a full-size rearing unicorn greeted visitors to the Tor Imports booth at this year\u2019s InterTabac tradeshow.<\/p>\n<p>The UK distributor \u2013 best known for supplying the UK trade with some of the world\u2019s best-known handmade cigars \u2013 has dipped its toe in the choppy waters of cigarmaking with its new handmade line, <em>Charatan<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The brand \u2013 originally released for many years under the Dunhill brand in the UK \u2013 was relaunched in time for last year\u2019s show, and this year, new sizes were released to mark the brand\u2019s move into international markets for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>As well as the unmissable rearing horse, Tor\u2019s stand for InterTabac 2024 included a variety of boxes of the new range of Charatan. These include <em>Churchill<\/em>, <em>Robusto <\/em>and <em>Half Churchill <\/em>sizes in wrapped in Connecticut, Colorado and Maduro leaves.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Half Churchill <\/em>in particular is an interesting innovation; the diminutive cigar is a difficult size to perfect, with its 3.5 inches by 48 Ring Gauge.
