Fast forward a decade later, and Jose\u2019s son, Enrique, is heading Matilde Cigars, which includes four regular production lines\u2014the original Renacer, Serena, Quadrata and Oscura\u2014and the twice yearly Limited Exposure cigar.<\/p>\n<p>For 2024, Matilde Cigars is adding another limited edition to its lineup that pays tribute to Enrique\u2019s father, Jose. Matilde Cigars\u2019 Special Release is a Toro (6 x 50) that is made from an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Peru. It\u2019s the Peruvian tobacco in the blend that pays tribute to Enrique\u2019s father, Jose.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the first Matilde Cigar to feature tobacco from Peru,\u201d Enrique explains. \u201cMy father loves Peruvian tobacco and this cigar is meant to honor him.
