2024 has been a momentous year for La Flor Dominicana and the Gomez family who own the company.<\/p>\n
In February during the ProCigar Festival, Tony Gomez bent his knee and asked his girlfriend to marry him during the Festival\u2019s dinner at Santiago\u2019s famous monument. (She said yes!!!) Then company co-founder Litto Gomez celebrated his 70th birthday with many of his closest industry friends on the eve of this year\u2019s PCA Show. And finally, and perhaps most memorable of all, this year marks the 30th anniversary of Litto and wife Inez getting into the premium cigar industry.<\/p>\n
To commemorate the historic occasion, LFD has produced the La Flor Dominicana 30 Years\u2014a unique box-pressed version of the company\u2019s famous Chisel vitola that is 6 \u00bd x 58 and is tapered at both ends.<\/p>\n
The unique LFD 30 Years cigars are a special version of La Flor Dominicana\u2019s iconic Chisel vitola, a 6 1\/2 x 58 box-pressed size that is tapered at the foot as well as at the head. Featuring a blend of Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over an aged Dominican binder from Cotu\u00ed, and fillers from the company\u2019s farm in La Canela, the cigars are sold in 60-count humidors, that are inspired by old marketing motifs from LFD\u2019s earliest days. Just 2,000 of the humidors are available and they were made by Tony Gomez\u2019s box factory in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

While we\u2019re not as big as some people might think we are, we have grown a lot over the years in a different way by improving the prestige of our cigars and our company. Projects like La Flor Dominicana 30 Years help add to the prestigious image of the company.\u201d<\/p>\n
While it looks like the unique chisel 30 Years cigar and humidor combination might be the only product that LFD produces to commemorate its anniversary, Tony admits that some special events might come together later in the year that will allow the Gomez family to celebrate their milestone with their fans.
