{"id":65536,"date":"2023-10-16T18:46:03","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T16:46:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/?p=65536"},"modified":"2023-10-16T18:56:20","modified_gmt":"2023-10-16T16:56:20","slug":"por-larranaga-larranaga-47-to-receive-launch-in-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/de\/por-larranaga-larranaga-47-to-receive-launch-in-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"Por Larra\u00f1aga, Larra\u00f1aga 47 to receive launch in UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Hunters &amp; Frankau is delighted to announce that the latest UK Habanos Regional Edition, the Por Larra\u00f1aga, Larra\u00f1aga 47, will be launched on November 1<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><sup>st<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0 at 47 simultaneous events held at select specialist Havana cigar retailers and hospitality venues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The synchronised events will begin precisely at 6:30pm on Wednesday 1<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><sup>st<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0November, at locations up and down the country, encompassing all four parts of the United Kingdom. Venues and their guests will be encouraged to post images and videos across social media throughout the night, using the hashtag #PL47launch.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The evening will commence with a video of Jemma Freeman (Executive Chairman of Hunters &amp; Frankau) and Jos\u00e9 Antonio Cejas Diaz (Hunters &amp; Frankau Corporate Director) introducing the Larra\u00f1aga 47.\u00a0 Guests will then be invited to light up their cigars, pour a glass of Hine Cigar Reserve Cognac, and join the celebration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Por Larra\u00f1aga was established in 1834, and today is the oldest Cuban cigar brand still in production. Its light to medium bodied blend has long been a favourite of the UK smoker.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The cigar measures 7\u201d (178mm) x 47 ring gauge and, although it is known as a Julieta No.2 in the factories of Cuba, most people know it simply as the \u201cChurchill\u201d size. This is because in the early 1950\u2019s Romeo y Julieta produced a cigar of this size named \u201cThe Churchill\u201d in honour of the great man.\u00a0 This traditional \u201cChurchill\u201d size is an ideal foil for the brand\u2019s delicate blend.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Uniquely among UK Regional Editions it is presented in Semi Bo\u00eete Nature (SBN) boxes of fifty cigars.\u00a0\u00a0As with some previous UK Regional Editions, an old\u00a0<i>papeleta<\/i>\u00a0from the brand has been recreated to dress the outside of the box.<\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Just 1,500 boxes have been made, 75,000 cigars in total.
