Upmann is bringing to life the H. Upmann 1844 Special Edition Barbier, a premium cigar that pays homage to the innovative craftsmanship and a favorite pastime of the brand\u2019s founding brothers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The 1844 Special Edition Barbier (German for \u201cBarber\u201d) uses a unique combination of two Ecuadorian wrappers \u2013 Connecticut and Sumatra \u2013 with a Java binder and a blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican and Broadleaf fillers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe use of these contrasting shades of wrappers makes for an eye-catching, barber-pole-like presentation,\u201d says Pedro Ventura, Hand Made Operation and Product Development Manager of Tabacalera de Garcia in La Romana, Dominican Republic where the cigar is being produced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe wrappers work together to add an entirely new flavor profile to the cigar, making one\u2019s smoking session a lot more interesting as well,\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The cigar industry will get its first look at the H. Upmann 1844 Special Edition Barbier, along with a showcase of other releases from Altadis U.S.A., at the 2023 Total Product Expo in Las Vegas, February 22 \u2013 24.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The H.
