{"id":61207,"date":"2022-12-01T12:54:44","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T11:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/?p=61207"},"modified":"2022-12-01T12:54:44","modified_gmt":"2022-12-01T11:54:44","slug":"tamdhu-release-second-cigar-malt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/de\/tamdhu-release-second-cigar-malt\/","title":{"rendered":"Tamdhu Release Second Cigar Malt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Tamdhu Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has released a new Cigar Malt, the second exclusive bottling that celebrates an age-old pairing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cigar Malt II is characterised by Tamdhu\u2019s dedication to full maturation in the finest first fill European Oak Oloroso Sherry Casks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bottled unchillfiltered and at 53.8% ABV, the whisky provides a richness of texture and strength of flavour that is ideally suited to pair with a hand-rolled Havana.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Tamdhu describe their new release as having a \u201cbalanced, creamy nose giving way to crystallised ginger, rich golden syrup, and hints of sherry oak. Winter fruits soaked in sherry complement the opulent, thick mouthfeel, which is followed by a rich malt loaf and vanilla cream. A long, lingering, and rewarding finish brings an unmistakable hint of sherry, with honeyed apricots and toasted nuts.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Tamdhu Distillery Manager, Sandy McIntyre, said:\u00a0\u201cAfter the success of our debut Cigar Malt, we are delighted to announce the second expression in the series.
