Establishes US-Based Company"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is with a continued commitment to the prospects for sustained successes for generations to come that Guillermo Le\u00f3n, President, La Aurora, S.A. has determined that La Aurora should have a renewed, exciting, and strategic focus on the most important of the premium cigar markets &#8211; the US Market.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Consistent with this decision:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Effective April 1, 2023 &#8211; La Aurora USA LLC (LUSA) will be assuming from Miami Cigar Company (MCC), the Marketing and Sales of La Aurora\u2019s cigar brands in the US. LUSA, to be based in Miami, Florida, has appointed the following to lead its Nationwide efforts:<\/p>\n<p>Ed McKenna, formerly of STG and Bacardi, is appointed CEO, La Aurora USA LLC, and as such will be responsible for the new US-based entity and its development.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Also joining the team will be John Ferrigan, formerly of Breakthru Beverage Group and STG, who is appointed National Sales Director La Aurora USA LLC, and will be responsible for the Sales Team and all Retail activity. John will report to Ed.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>La Aurora is very pleased to add Ed and John to its Leadership Team. Together they are tasked with building the US Sales Team and Programs that will position La Aurora\u2019s cigar brands for sustained relevance, vitality and success&#8230;and potentially also for other related products in the future under the \u201cLa Aurora\u201d banner.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As a first step in this transition, Ed, John and representatives from LUSA\u2019s Sales Team will start visiting its long-standing and valued Customers this Month&#8230;but until further notice, all La Aurora cigar orders should continue to be placed through MCC.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On the heels of this decision, Guillermo and the La Aurora Family extend a heartfelt \u201cGracias!\u201c to Nestor and Mariana Miranda and the MCC Team for the 30+ years of friendship, support, and effort on behalf of La Aurora cigars in the US market.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Commenting on behalf of MCC, Jason Wood, VP of Sales and Marketing, shared the following&#8230;\u201cWe would like to thank Guillermo, Michelle and the entire La Aurora Team for over 30 years of amazing memories.
