On 15th of May 2022, No.21 Cigar Lounge hosted its 3rd auction for a selection of rare and exceptional\u00a0collections, jars and boxes eagerly sought after by cigar aficionados around the world. Bidders flocked from across the region to attend the year\u2019s\u00a0premier cigar event in the Middle East.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur love for Cuban cigars always finds a place in No.21,\u201d event attendee and lounge member Mohammed Behbehani said as the guests gathered around the live cello performance. He added \u201cWe always look forward to what Hussain (Hussain Taha, Lounge owner) brings in his auctions.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe lots are impressive, the atmosphere so exciting, I can\u2019t wait to get started,\u201d said Yaser AlNaqi, another guest and long time lounge member.
\nHost Hussain Taha began the evenings\u2019 processions by welcoming the guests. He outlined the significance of the auction and the collections available\u00a0for bidding. He mentioned the late Simon Chase and his role in Cuban auctions. He then invited to the podium the event\u2019s auctioneer, renowned and\u00a0dedicated brother of the leaf, Jasem Zeraie.<\/p>\n
An avid collector himself, Mr. Zeraie brought his considerable knowledge to bear on the evening, commanding the gavel with warranted authority, with his enthralling anecdotes and quips leaving the audience thoroughly engaged.
\nBids came in from the attendees and internationally by absentee submissions, with the most prized lots occupying the greatest attention. Bidders were\u00a0noticeably eager to secure their preferred lots, with an air of friendly competition prevailing.<\/p>\n
