The limited-edition cigars were\u00a0showcased during Drew Estate\u2019s \u201cFreestyle Live: Special Edition\u201d broadcast, on May 12 on the company\u2019s Facebook Live page (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/drewestatecigar\"><em><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">facebook.com\/drewestatecigar<\/span><\/b><\/em><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">) and YouTube channel (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/drewestatecigar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">youtube.com\/drewestatecigar<\/span><\/b><\/em><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">). Year of the Rat cigars will be available exclusively at Drew Diplomat Program partners beginning on June 15.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat first appeared in 2016 to honor the 20th Anniversary of the Florida Panthers\u2019 only National Hockey League Stanley Cup Finals appearance. During the Panthers\u2019 run to the Finals, the team\u2019s Scott Mellanby killed a rat in the locker room before scoring two goals in the game. Mellanby\u2019s feat was a \u201cRat Trick,\u201d and fans soon began tossing rubber rats onto the ice whenever the team scored. Originally available only at the Drew Estate Lounge inside the Panther\u2019s BB&amp;T Center, Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat achieved wider fame beginning in 2020 when it was re-released as a Drew Diplomat Program event exclusive cigar. Since 2021, distribution of Year of the Rat cigars has expanded to all Drew Diplomat Program participants.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Year of the Rat (5 \u00bd x 46, Corona Gorda) is made using a luscious Connecticut Broadleaf capa, an Brazilian capote and Nicaraguan and Honduran tripa tobaccos. Featuring Liga Privada Unico Serie\u2019s iconic fantail head, every Year of the Rat cigar is individually wrapped in gold foil and placed in beautifully embossed blue 10-count Liga Privada Unico boxes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cWith music sometimes a new song comes out and you\u2019re like, \u2018Yo, hit rewind,\u2019 and your homies are pissed \u2018cause you made \u2018em play it three times,\u201d says Drew Estate Founder and President, Jonathan Drew. \u201cIt\u2019s a testament to a proper beat, the lyrics, the complete-ness \u2026 well same thing for Year of the Rat \u2026 so today we hittin\u2019 the rewind button \u2026 like Chuck D, we\u2019re bringin\u2019 that beat back.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The 2022\u00a0Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat will be available exclusively to Drew Diplomat Program partners beginning on June 15.
