{"id":41973,"date":"2021-07-13T16:56:35","date_gmt":"2021-07-13T14:56:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/?p=41973"},"modified":"2021-07-13T16:56:35","modified_gmt":"2021-07-13T14:56:35","slug":"a-new-job-and-new-blends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/de\/a-new-job-and-new-blends\/","title":{"rendered":"A New Job and New Blends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chip Goldeen is an industry veteran after spending 24 years with Ashton.\u00a0 The big news at the PCA was that Chip left Ashton and joined El Septimo as Director of business development and sales.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>El Septimo was a European company that has been around for years, just not in the United States.\u00a0 It is an ultra-premium luxury cigar brand that private equity owner Zaya Younan came to love.\u00a0 Zaya\u00a0\u00a0 smoked the El Septimo cigars but could only buy them when overseas.\u00a0 Younan bought the company about a year ago and has his work cut out for him.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s PCA is the company\u2019s first and just days before the show opened, Younan hired Goldeen.\u00a0 El Septimo made its US debut in May at the Tobacco Plus Expo unveiling a portfolio of 35 different blends.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-41976\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ElSeptimo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"301\" height=\"401\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Between May and the show\u2019s opening, Younan realized he did not have products for the U-S market. So, he added 7 more sizes and a new blend to the mix from his factory in Costa Rica.<\/p>\n<p>The additions are called the Sacred Arts Collection named for the great masters and their paintings.\u00a0 The Leonardo daVinci is the company\u2019s first lancero at 7.5\u201d x 40, the Botticelli is a 7.5\u201d X 58 salomon, the Michelangelo is a 5.5\u201d X 50 robusto and the Raphael is a 6\u201d x 50 robusto, the toro at 5.5\u201d x 54 is the Salvador Dali, Rembrandt is a 7\u201d X 54 torpedo and the last one is Van Gogh that is a royal Salomon at 9\u201d x 56.<\/p>\n<p>The cigars arrived right before the show and were not even banded.
