Newman Cigar Co. began shipping its new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jcnewman.us19.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=57bb6c487fe271ada7d283d9b&amp;id=326842697c&amp;e=ca7ae4488e\">Perla del Mar\u00a0<\/a>cigars to brick and mortar retailers across the United States.\u00a0 Handmade at J.C. Newman PENSA in Nicaragua, the new Perla del Mar is a significant refinement of the Perla del Mar cigars that J.C. Newman launched in 2012.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u201cAlthough our Perla del Mar cigars were good, we were not totally satisfied,\u201d said Drew Newman, general counsel and a member of J.C. Newman\u2019s fourth generation.\u00a0 \u201cWe wanted to make them better \u2013 and that\u2019s exactly what we did.\u00a0 After two years of effort working to perfect the brand, we are thrilled to reintroduce Perla del Mar.\u201d<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Perla del Mar\u2019s existing Shade and Maduro blends have been\u00a0strengthened with aged Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, and a new flavorful Corojo blend, rolled with a robust Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, has been added to the family.\u00a0 Perla del Mar cigars are now shaped in a classic Tampa-style press and packed with traditional bands and boxes.\u00a0 Each blend comes in four sizes with an MSRP of between $6 and $7.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough our family has been rolling cigars for 125 years, we do not rest on our laurels,\u201d said Newman.\u00a0 \u201cWe are constantly working to improve everything that we do, and we are very pleased with the new Perla del Mar.\u201d<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Perla del Mar is a historic cigar brand that traces its roots to Cuba.\u00a0 In 1905, four Cuban brothers started hand rolling cigars using tobacco grown on their family\u2019s farm in Cuba.\u00a0 They named their company Perfecto Garcia Brothers and called their cigars \u201cPerla del Mar\u201d because of the beautiful Caribbean waters that surround Cuba.\u00a0 As the popularity and demand for their cigars grew, the brothers built a large cigar factory next to J.C. Newman\u2019s El Reloj factory in Ybor City, Florida.\u00a0 Perla del Mar was one of the leading premium cigar brands in the early 1900s.\u00a0 J.C.
