Cort\u00e8s and Oliva Cigar Co. today announces the purchase of the Oliva family\u2019s leaf operations in Nicaragua and three Nicaraguan tobacco farms in a move which further consolidates its handrolled cigar operation in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Just two months ago, Oliva has opened the <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/oliva-opens-tabolisa-1-facility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tabolisa 1 facility in Estel\u00ed<\/a>. One year earlier, Oliva Cigar Co. has opened the <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/tabolisa-ii-oliva-cigars-opens-a-new-factory-in-nicaragua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tabolisa II factory<\/a>. In 2016, Fred Vandermarliere acquired <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/j-cortes-signed-an-agreement-for-acquisition-of-oliva-cigars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oliva Cigar Co.<\/a> from the Oliva family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fred Vandermarliere, the owner of J.
