Year of the Rat \u2013 Limited Edition 2020<\/h3>\n

For the third year in a row, Maya Selva Cigars will be celebrating the Chinese New Year with a new limited edition – YEAR OF THE RAT. Totally hand-made with the best tobacco from the house traditional terroirs <\/em>of Honduras and Nicaragua, this new blend has the elegant balance characteristic of the Flor de Selva brand. Its notes of vanilla with hints of toasted almonds are bound to please the most discerning of palates.<\/p>\n

The design line brings together traditional Chinese patterns and Mayan hieroglyphics. The Rat is the first of the 12-year cycle of animals that represent the Chinese zodiac. According to Chinese tradition, 12 animals guard the gates of Heaven. According to Mayan tradition, we are all born with a Nahual<\/em>, or spirit animal, that guides us through life.<\/p>\n

The tobacco in the toro-sized cigars is hand-picked in the renowned valleys of Jamastr\u00e1n in Honduras and Jalapa in Nicaragua.
