Since 2008, Maryland residents that have wanted to enjoy a cigar indoors have been limited to a very select number of bars and cigar brick and mortar shops. Even as casinos were introduced to the area in 2012, patrons wanting to take a premium cigar break were limited to finding a spot 50 feet from the building with those burning through a pack of cigarettes. Realizing that a special segment of customers was not able to enjoy the full Live! Casino experience, management knew it was time to find a creative solution for cigar enthusiasts \u2013 all while remaining compliant with Maryland state law.<\/p>\n

Transforming a portion of their outdoor parking garage to a full-fledged gaming room equipped with table games and slot machines, the Orchid Lounge at Live! Casino features lounge seating, buffets, premium cigars and an extensive collection of spirits. While technically<\/em> outside, patrons are kept warm during the winter months by decorative and efficient fireplaces and ceiling heaters that are located throughout the space.<\/p>\n

Complete with a multitude of slot machines and table games, the cigar lounge sits in the middle of a small oasis. No, seriously: the decor is such with large replica trees covering the sitting areas, ivy and greenery on the walls and the fluorescent lighting that you\u2019d expect from a casino. Directly adjacent to the lounge area is the full bar \u2013 because you can\u2019t have an oasis or getaway without a bar and custom cocktails.<\/p>\n

For patrons that venture into the Orchid Lounge without bringing their own cigars, the attendants at the bar have a custom-built humidor stocked to the ceiling with familiar brands as well as a line crafted by a local brick and mortar, Titan Cigar. So bring some luck, your Player\u2019s Card and your friends that know how to have a good time, because the Orchid Lounge in the Live! Casino is no place for those that are not willing to indulge and take their gaming and cigar experience to another level.<\/p>\n
