{"id":26523,"date":"2018-12-05T09:29:45","date_gmt":"2018-12-05T08:29:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/?p=26523"},"modified":"2018-12-05T09:29:45","modified_gmt":"2018-12-05T08:29:45","slug":"chris-noth-crowned-uk-cigar-smoker-of-the-year-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/de\/chris-noth-crowned-uk-cigar-smoker-of-the-year-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Chris Noth Crowned UK Cigar Smoker Of The Year 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Monday 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0December saw Boisdale of Canary Wharf honor both cigar enthusiasts and celebrity cigar smokers from around the world at the esteemed Vi\u00f1a Carmen Cigar Smoker of the Year Awards Dinner 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Hollywood and silver screen star\u00a0Chris Noth\u00a0was awarded the ultimate recognition of the night and announced the Vi\u00f1a Carmen Cigar Smoker Of The Year 2018, whilst legendary British actor and Academy Award winner\u00a0Jeremy Irons\u00a0scooped the Boisdale Lifetime Achievement Award.<\/p>\n<p>The glamorous evening, hosted by Tom Parker Bowles\u00a0and\u00a0Ranald Macdonald, saw the good and the great &#8211; from British acting royalty through to Hollywood stars &#8211; attend the celebrations, with guests including: 2016 Cigar Smoker of the Year winner\u00a0Kelsey Grammer\u00a0and wife\u00a0Kayte;\u00a0singer songwriter\u00a0Rebecca Ferguson\u00a0who performed on the evening; entrepreneur\u00a0Nancy Dell&#8217;Ollio;\u00a0Cuban Ambassador,\u00a0her Excellency, Mrs Teresita de Jes\u00fas Vicente Sotolongo;\u00a0Ricardo Coriani,\u00a0Deputy Head of Mission for the Nicaraguan Embassy;\u00a0George Herbert, Earl of Carnarvon, owner of\u00a0Highclere Castle, the setting for the television drama Downton Abbey; the Madness of King George film producer\u00a0Stephen Evans\u00a0as well as\u00a0Love\u00a0Island\u00a0reality television show stars\u00a0Rosie Williams\u00a0and\u00a0Charlie Brake.<\/p>\n<p>The global cigar community was well represented by\u00a0Jemma Freeman MD of Hunters &amp; Frankau, the exclusive importers of Cuban cigars to the UK;\u00a0Daniel Marshall\u00a0of Daniel Marshall Cigars fame, the\u00a0Earl of Carnarvon, who has just launched\u00a0Highclere Castle Cigars; Mitchel Orchant MD of the UK\u2019s largest cigar distributor C.Gars Ltd, and Scott Vines of Tor Cigar Imports.
