Premium tobacco fields must be handled with patience, care and efficiency. These things are vital when the time comes to pull the leaves from their stalks during a process called priming<\/a>. Priming entails meticulously picking a few leaves per day from the plant until all have been removed…a process that can take several weeks depending on the readiness of the tobacco. It is a slow, deliberate and thoughtful task, not to be rushed or done in haste.<\/p>\n

This concept makes the name Primings Cigar Lounge & Bar<\/a> a fitting one for the recent additions to Nashville, TN\u2019s growing cigar brick and mortar landscape. While there seems to be a new cigar shop popping up every month in the Music City, Chase Lyle, Primings‘ owner, took his time in building a destination that encompassed everything he felt a cigar lover would appreciate. Located on the edge of the booming downtown convention, tourism and sports district, Lyle\u2019s attention to every detail is evident in the time it took for Primings to open its doors to the public in July 2016.<\/p>\n

While most shops offer a walk-in humidor and sitting areas, Primings offers a beautiful humidor with familiar and local brands that can be enjoyed in a spacious lounge or balcony that overlooks the main. The full bar not only offers a rich selection of bourbons, scotches, whiskeys, wines, etc., but a full menu of craft cocktails blended specifically for Primings\u2019 patrons by the in-house mixologist and General Manager Jacob Forth.<\/p>\n

With three tiers of membership, VIPs have special key-coded access to private areas of the club, a choice of 120 spacious humidified lockers and first dibs at event space. To top it off, the upper level of Primings is equipped with a conference room and video conferencing for those members that need a special place to conduct their business.<\/p>\n

A breath of fresh air (and top of the line ventilation) to the downtown cigar scene, Primings boasts to \u201coffer the finer things in life\u201d while not putting a strain on the enthusiast\u2019s wallet. With plenty of parking (which is a premium in downtown Nashville), staff that are certified through Tobacconist University<\/a>, competitive cigar and drink prices and an upscale new school\/old school look and feel, nightlife in Nashville is more interesting and pleasantly smoky for those that are looking for a cigar-focused, less crowded and less country music option in the streets of downtown Nashville. <\/p>\n

Primings Cigar Lounge and Bar is a Cigar Rights of America<\/a> „Great American Cigar Shop“ and hosts the Nashville leg of the Cigar World Smoking Championship<\/a> (CSWC).<\/p>\n
