The cigar was produced from 2004 to 2006 before <a title=\"Boutique Cigars: Pete Johnson\u2019s first Decade with Tatuaje\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/pete-johnsons-first-decade-with-tatuaje\/\">brand owner Pete Johnson<\/a> discontinued it. At this year&#8217;s IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas he brought it back to the US market and now he\u2019s re-introducing it to Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo far we know it\u2019s going to be available in Germany,\u201d Johnson says. \u201cAfter that we\u2019ll see which countries pick it up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Nuevitas comes in two lines, Estel\u00ed and Jibaro. \u201cThey\u2019re two slightly different blends,\u201d owner Pete Johnson says. \u201cThey\u2019re both 100 percent Nicaraguan made from My Father tobacco with a Corojo 99 wrapper and with quarter of an inch shagfoot. Estel\u00ed is a medium body cigar while Jibaro is medium to bold with a slightly darker wrapper.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nuevitas Estel\u00ed comes in one size, 5 x 52, and Nuevitas Jibaro in 5 x 54 and 6 x 52. In the US, the Estel\u00ed goes for USD 8.50 (~ EUR 7.20), the smaller Jibaro for USD 9 (~ EUR 7.70) and the bigger one for USD 9.50 (~ EUR 8.10).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The cigar was produced from 2004 to 2006 before brand owner Pete Johnson discontinued it.
