Olde World Reserve Maduro and Olde World Reserve Corojo will be reintroduced at the IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas and will begin shipping to tobacconists in late summer.

The rereleases, however, will come with a change. Rocky Patel, president and CEO of RPPC, explains, “I wanted to do something different with these classic brands, so we decided to have both of our cigar factories produce one line each. One brand rolled in Honduras. The other made in Nicaragua. It’s truly the best of both worlds.”

From its debut in 2006, both the Maduro and Corojo brands were rolled in the Paraiso factory in Danlí, Honduras. The relaunched Olde World Reserve Corojo will once again be crafted at Paraiso and will feature the original tobacco blend: Honduran corojo wrapper, Nicaraguan fillers and binder. Olde World Reserve Maduro will be crafted at TaviCusa, Rocky’s boutique factory located in Estelí, Nicaragua, and will feature a blend comparable to the original: Costa Rican Maduro, Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers, and a Nicaraguan binder.

Back in 2012, Olde World Reserve was removed as a national brand because the Costa Rican maduro wrapper, which was used primarily on The Edge Maduro, had become too scarce. Yet the demand for Olde World brands never wavered. “If there was one brand being asked for constantly by both consumers and retailers, it was Olde World Reserve,” said Mark Weissenberger, VP of Marketing for RPPC. “This revival was due to an overwhelming demand, as we’re all very excited to see the OWR return.”

Both varieties of Olde World Reserve will be available in Robusto (5 ½ x 54) retailing for $9, Toro (6 ½ x 52) retailing for $10, and Sixty (6 x 60) retailing for $11. All shapes will be box pressed and packaged in rustic 20-count boxes.

Rocky Patel Premium Cigars (RPPC) is reviving a pair of brands that debuted on the marketplace more than 10 years ago.

[49,55,2812,44
4977,4976,639
