{"id":18779,"date":"2018-02-16T16:08:22","date_gmt":"2018-02-16T15:08:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/?p=18779\/"},"modified":"2018-02-16T16:08:22","modified_gmt":"2018-02-16T15:08:22","slug":"mombacho-to-release-new-line-named-after-factory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/de\/mombacho-to-release-new-line-named-after-factory\/","title":{"rendered":"Mombacho to Release New Line Named After Factory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the second half of 2018, Mombacho Cigars is coming out with a new cigar called Casa Favilli.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to be stronger than our two other lines, Liga Maestro and Tierra Volcan,\u201d master blender Claudio Sgroi says. \u201cLike the others, it\u2019s 100 percent Nicaraguan, and has the sweetness of Jalapa and the strong character of Estel\u00ed, balanced with the spicy nuances of Condega.\u201d<br \/>\nIt\u2019s the first cigar Sgroi has blended, starting with the wrapper.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of our farmers started growing broadleaf in Nicaragua. Nobody\u2019s ever done that, so I just had to try it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s named after the beautiful colonial house in Granada that is the Mombacho factory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMombacho Cigars was founded to promote Granada through cigars, so it felt right to name the cigar after this magical place. It\u2019s a state-of-the art cigar factory that is unique in the world. There\u2019s a 100 years of history in this building, and I picture that, back then, cigars were rolled in places like Casa Favilli.
