{"id":16391,"date":"2017-06-28T14:44:40","date_gmt":"2017-06-28T12:44:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/?p=16391\/"},"modified":"2017-06-29T12:27:55","modified_gmt":"2017-06-29T10:27:55","slug":"four-popular-gurkha-blends-to-be-re-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cigarjournal.com\/de\/four-popular-gurkha-blends-to-be-re-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Four Gurkha Blends to be Re-Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gurkha Cigars will not be introducing any new cigars at the 2017 IPCPR for the first time.&nbsp; Instead, due to the FDA\u2019s new regulations the company has decided to re-release some of it\u2019s most popular predicate brick and mortar brands: Master Select, Havana Legend, Blendmaster\u2019s Cask and Cellar Reserve 10 Year Anniversary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE MASTER SELECT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Master Select was originally introduced in 2001 and was made by the Olivas family. The cigars will be released in their original packaging and will be available in five sizes from $7.50 to $11.50 per cigar. Boxes will be 25 count for the following sizes: Robusto, Toro, 6&#215;60, Perfecto #1 und Perfecto #2. This mild to medium smoke is made of Habano wrapper, a Honduran Habano binder and Nicaraguan\/Dominican filler. It will be available in late July.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HAVANA LEGEND<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Havana Legend was an original blend that Gurkha CEO, Kaizad Hansotia had created in 1999 under the Gurkha Legend series. The cigars will be available in four sizes and come in 20 count boxes:<\/p>\n<p>Robusto Corto, 4.5 x 48, $5.00<br \/>\nRobusto, 5 x 54, $5.50<br \/>\nToro, 6 x 50, &#8211; $6.00<br \/>\nXO, 6 x 60, $9.00<\/p>\n<p>This medium to full smoke boasts a peppery and nutty flavor and will be available in early fall. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>BLENDMASTER\u2019S CASK&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The mild and creamy smoke that boasts a hint of spice will be available in September. The cigars will be available in three sizes:<\/p>\n<p>XO, 6 x 60, $13.00 (20 count boxes)&nbsp;<br \/>\nAmbassador, 7 x 55, $12.00 (20 count boxes)<br \/>\nSolara, 5 x 52, $64.00 (tubos five pack)<br \/>\nChurchill, 7x&nbsp; 55, $70.00 (tubos five pack)<br \/>\nToro, 6 x 52, $60.00&nbsp; (tubos five pack)&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Blendmaster\u2019s Cask is created with an Ecuadorian wrapper and Dominican\/Nicaraguan filler and binder. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELLAR RESERVE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The special edition 15-year Cellar Reserve cigar will be created to commemorate the Cellar Reserve\u2019s 10-year anniversary, the company\u2019s first brick and mortar cigar and its most successful brand. The cigars will be rolled in a special vitola and come in a 50-count humidor box.&nbsp; The medium body, full-flavor smoke will come from an Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper, the Vintage Nicaraguan filler from Jalapa, Condega and Esteli and a Nicaraguan binder.<\/p>\n<p>The limited edition humidor boxes will be individually numbered and available toward the end of August 2017.&nbsp; Only 1,000 (50 count) boxes will be made and they will retail for $700\/box.&nbsp; Individual cigars will be sold for $14 per stick.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gurkha Cigars will not be introducing any new cigars at the 2017 IPCPR for the first time.
