Scandinavian Tobacco Group\u2019s (STG) International Hand-Made Cigars team will be launching a new packaging concept called \u201cHumi-pack\u201d in July 2017 on the company\u2019s best-selling brands.<\/p>\n
Humi-pack packaging features a proprietary film with transparent foil and special poly coating that together provide an airtight barrier to retain the cigar\u2019s optimal moisture level and protect its delicate flavour and aroma over extended periods of time, without the need for a humidor.<\/p>\n
Stephan Brichau, International Sales & Marketing Manager for STG said, \u201cWith Humi-pack packs, STG has created the opportunity to display cigars outside of the humidor. This concept is groundbreaking for shop owners as they can now have secondary displays within their shops. It also allows us to gain new touchpoints for consumers, expand distribution and enhance brand awareness. Cigar lovers will benefit, too, from increased portability, and the ability to enjoy a cigar in optimal condition anytime, anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n
Select sizes of Macanudo Inspirado and Don Tom\u00e1s Cl\u00e1sico cigars will be available in Humi-pack packs starting in July in the Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia and Austria, with the packaging being rolled out to additional markets beginning in August.
\nThe cigars in Humi-pack packaging are individually sealed inside easy-to-open transparent pouches and presented in a transparent plastic tray which can be used as a counter display. The packs will be available in these top-selling sizes:<\/p>\n
– Macanudo Inspirado Orange Mareva (5 1\/8 x 42 \/ L 130 mm, \u00d8 17 mm), tray containing 20 cigars
